I retired as a police officer/crash rescue firefighter in April of 1990. I have enjoyed photography since the mid 70's and crossed over to the digital world in 1996. Along with being the volunteer photographer for the Alaska Zoo the main focus of my photography is to show Alaska as it passes in front of my lens on a day to day basis. While viewing my albums be sure to look for lnks to Britt Coon's Smug Mug albums. She is becoming a great photographer in her own right and it has been fun watching her develop her skills for the last couple of years that we have worked together. To view more of her work click here and visit her SmugMug album.

Caption: The lamb was orphaned during an ADF&G research project that involved capturing and collaring lambs. The lamb's mother left the area and they could not be re-united. ADF&G regrets that this happened, but behavior of this ewe was very unusual. In 108 of 109 lamb captures ewes remained nearby and were successfully re-united with their lambs. ADF&G donated the lamb to the Alaska Zoo where it will help educate Alaskans and visitors about Alaska's wildlife.
