A very nice picture of a beautiful airplane, but the camera distracts from the picture.

Great shot. Love the old radial engine on the Beavers. Many of the DHC-3 Otters here have been fitted with the turbine engines.

Great capture. Its a 1949 DeHavilland model DHC-2 with the always cool P&W radial engine.

About johngomes

I retired as a police officer/crash rescue firefighter in April of 1990. I have enjoyed photography since the mid 70's and crossed over to the digital world in 1996. Along with being the volunteer photographer for the Alaska Zoo the main focus of my photography is to show Alaska as it passes in front of my lens on a day to day basis. While viewing my albums be sure to look for lnks to Britt Coon's Smug Mug albums. She is becoming a great photographer in her own right and it has been fun watching her develop her skills for the last couple of years that we have worked together. To view more of her work click here and visit her SmugMug album.
