I'll bet it has been a long, long time since these rails have been rusty. Unreal.

It looks quiet here, but I went to the NJ Transit website and they have an amazing slide show of the devastated rail lines. There's undermined lines and railroad bridges with boats and shipping containers on top of them. Just an incredible amount of damage. ageAction=HurricaneSandyTo

About jerseyshoretoo

I'm retired as of May 2014 and looking forward to photographing subjects that I haven't had a chance to do before.I live on the New Jersey coast not far from the Atlantic Ocean and the Shrewsbury River. Weather Underground and the wonderful photographers here have been a big help; thanks for all your emails and suggestions. WU is the way to see all the corners of this beautiful world. >Create your own visitor map!
