Madeira Beach, FL (Current Weather Conditions)

Caption: I found out recently that this bird was rescued at a very young age by our next door neighbor who heard it screaming and when he got to it it was covered with fire ants. You can see the silver band on it's leg.

Bitten by fire ants, the poor thing! My mate got bitten by ONE on a trip to Florida a few years ago.

About icmoore

icmoore

My name is Cathy and I first joined WU in 2005 for the great weather info and Dr. Master's blog and then later discovered the wonderful photography community here. I so enjoy seeing everyone's pictures and sharing some of mine. My husband of 41 years and I sold the house we had lived in for 25 years and raised our 2 sons in then downsized to a cottage on a barrier island on the west coast of FL. It's about a block away from the Gulf and we are living our dream now and praying that the big wind don't blow :)
