Thank you much for your writiing, Ralf. Come on down! Be glad to give you a tour.
Hard to really know what the country really is like on Pictures. Not quite like eyeballing it.
Glad to know you liked my photos.
Have a great day & weekend.

Thank you for your great comment Ralf. LOL, ya it looks like I'm up higher huh? Had not noticed that.
The background dirt you see is not flat ground. That is the West wall of the Gorge Canyon on the Rio Grande.

I'm actually, gussing close to 200 ft lower than the Eagle, and shooting from down close to the Rio Grande water, and across the river. I'm a long ways away from it. Guessing 400 to 500 feet. Using my 70-300 lens. I had just taken my 1.4 teleconverter off when I saw the Eagle flying and shot several shots just following it. Got lucky to get one as it was just landing on top of the old tree. Just hand held shots. Thanks to that VIR & IS Lens.
I'm at the bottom of the canyon, and he's about halfways up on the opposite side.

I cropped heavily on this one to be able to see it half ways decent. appreciate your viewing & commenting.
