Yes I can tell this is a 'morning' moon because the 'bellybutton' is over to the left. :P Evening moon would be to the right.

For me, the 'bellybutton' is very low to it's southern pole. Yours, it's much higher latitude.

Yes I find it interesting looking at those angles. Different angle also when looking at it to the west side of our sky as compared to looking at it when if first rises on the East.
Rotates somewhat as it travels overhead.
