Gainesville, FL (Current Weather Conditions)

Caption: Returning home, I spotted this beauty in a retention culvert. That flock of white caught my eye. He took off with a prize in his talons. A quick stop at home to pick up my camera and I caught this nimble flyer high in a Pine tree. Even with the lens at 300mm, it was a good distance off. I had to crop about 90 percent down. What a great neighbor! Bald Eagle

He's a bit bigger than my tuis. And he's standing up the right way. :-) I would just love to have the opportunity to photograph one of these.
