This may be ongoing --- I have a book of just Great Lakes Region warblers, and so far the female Redstart is the closest, but this does look a bit different from the book photo. Fantastic shot, James, of whatever she is. Actually, since you already have a male Redstart, that supports the Redstart definition.

Quite sure it is a Blue Headed Vireo. We are getting a lot of new sightings
here in Ontario as well, I have photographed 10 new species in the last week.
You have some wonderful shots.

I believe this is a female American Redstart! (yes, that's a type of warbler)
She looks very different than her male counterpart, who is black and orange and also beautiful!
Great shot!

Another excellent and lovely bird capture, James! I think it's a Warbler, but have to go look up which kind. 10!

About gardner48197

10/2014: Greetings from Michigan, where we get quite a wide variety of weather changes throughout the four seasons! Originally I found this site, for the weather, and the photos kept drawing my interest! Decided to get my first digital camera in 2010, and have since upgraded to a Nikon P530. Truly an amazing, eye-opening hobby! This is a great community, so many excellent photographers and friends, so little time! I do read and appreciate every comment and email that I receive! I would like to thank everyone who contributes, for all of the great inspiration and feedback! Sometime down the road I would still like to get a DSLR camera, but for now I just I hope to send a small view of life from the Great Lakes State. Home of the University of Michigan Wolverines! Go Blue! -James
