Wow, what a pleasant surprise!!! Thank you so much Betsy, Ivan, Julia, Mary & Charlotte for all of the kind words!!! Thanks so much to the Approvers, for the new blue border!!! Much Appreciated!!! Betsy, I was amazed how many Monarchs were Up North, as I have seen very few in my area... I guess it doesn't hurt that the whole Lake Huron shore was lined with flowers =)

Treasure these photos, James. You are one of the few who have seen Monarchs this year.

May next year be better for them, both in Mexico and on the American plains agri-business herbicide (Round UP) practices.

I dislike feeling so helpless with the Environment up against big business. It is apparent "they" don't care what species they wipe out, iconic like this, or lesser known.

About gardner48197

gardner48197

3/2014: Greetings from SNOWY Michigan, where we get quite a wide variety of weather changes throughout the four seasons! Originally I found this site, for the weather, and the photos kept drawing my interest! Decided to get my first digital camera in 2010, and have since upgraded to a Nikon P520. Truly an amazing, eye-opening hobby! This is a great community, so many excellent photographers and friends, so little time! I do read and appreciate every comment and email that I receive! I would like to thank everyone who contributes, for all of the great inspiration and feedback! Sometime down the road I would still like to get a DSLR camera, but for now I just I hope to send a small view of life from the Great Lakes State. Home of the University of Michigan Wolverines! Go Blue! -James
