I wonder if they are from the same nest? They appear to be juvenile birds....

Congrats on the blue border, James. Well, even if they aren't face to face, this was a beautiful capture, and well deserved to be an AC!

Thank you everyone, so very much, for all of the great comments!! They actually were facing each other, then one got on the rock, to get a better view of the dog, who was heading in their direction...

Very nice, James. Funny, I thought the same thing as Elaine. Maybe they had a lover's quarrel!!

About gardner48197

gardner48197

3/2015: Greetings from Michigan, where we get quite a wide variety of weather changes throughout the four seasons! Originally I found this site, for the weather, and the photos kept drawing my interest! Decided to get my first digital camera in 2010, and have since upgraded to a Nikon P530. Truly an amazing, eye-opening hobby! This is a great community, so many excellent photographers and friends, so little time! I do read and appreciate every comment and email that I receive! I would like to thank everyone who contributes, for all of the great inspiration and feedback! Sometime down the road I would still like to get a DSLR camera, but for now I just I hope to send a small view of life from the Great Lakes State. Home of the University of Michigan Wolverines! Go Blue! -James
