I was walking down the drive and felt something on my leg. Looked down and there was this lovely cicada coming for a walk with me. I thought that if I walked quietly I might be able to get back inside and grab the camera. And then get outside again so i could post it on WU. :) Then, as it was on the back of my leg, I had to do a few contortions to get a couple of shots. Just as well I had not tried to move it because, as soon as I did that, it flew away.

Man, can those guys SING! My dogs always find these interesting whenever one comes within reach -- they touch it with their noses, then back up in a hurry when confronted with that amplified voice that is so much bigger than these little bodies. Nice macro of the BEM (Bug-Eyed Monster), John!
