Auckland, New Zealand

Caption: Smoke from the Australian bush fires has been very obvious in NZ today. The sun has been casting very indistinct shadows and the light on the ground has been decidedly orange, although the sky hasn't. There was a bit more colour in the sky about 7:30 p.m. when these shots were taken. The fires are up to 2,000 km away from Auckland.

Thank you all for your comments. Bob, I certainly think it is a great place to live. Unfortunately, I am not a great follower of footy : I have not yet seen the ABs play in the flesh.

Congratulations on a excellent approvers choice. New Zealand would be my second favorite country to live besides America and Idaho. I
would love to see the All Blacks play some day.
