About dragonflyF15

Hello there fellow Midwesterners! I'm a 39yr-old horticulturist in the STL area. Yep, that means I'm a plant, tree and shrub geek. That also means that my work schedule revolves around Mother Nature, who I like to refer to as Gaia. Not into radical environmental theories, but conservation between man and nature. As a child whether it was sunny and gorgeous, cold and snowy, or storming and tornadoes, one could not keep me inside for very long. Some things never change as I'm still a tomboy at heart! I've also always had a fascination with storms and weather patterns.I also like photography, although I'm mainly an admirer of other people's pics. I have recently stumbled upon a used Canon EOS 20D and look forward to perhaps picking up a passion of taking pics again! At this time, I'm a point and click and know little about those dials. At least this time around I have a digital, so it should be cheaper to experiment with! No manual, so this should be a fun learning adventure...*Update* I have now also acquired an Olympus Stylus 1030W for those point and click kind of pics and I love it! Waterproof, shockproof, shatterproof, freezeproof? As an outdoor gal with a clumsy nature, what more can I ask for! Awesome! I've been using WU for years as my guide, but never really dabbled into all the other features (blogs, photos and etc). I think that may change! >grin
