Ooooo, I just LOVE this, Tim!! I'm so sorry to hear the windmill came down---they're such iconic sights on the landscape, along with old buildings like this.

Great sky - and the broken down windmill is just a great story teller of how many storms it must have seen in its time! Love this, Tim!

Fantastic shot, Tim! You caught that lighting that
only happens around a storm, and the old building
and bedraggled windmill make it perfect! I'd give
you two 10s if I could! This beauty had nowhere
to go but Blue! Congratulations!

Color. In this instance, the joy of oncoming rain, color works best - at least to my eye. I enjoy your photos and the subject matter. Thanks for posting them here. Read your bio. A Book in your future? I hope so.

About docshovel39

docshovel39

Hello , my name is Tim . I live in the small farming community of Ropesville , Texas with my wife and photo partner Sherry . I got involved with photography because of my older brother Steve - a fantastic photographer who lives outside of Seattle , WA . My favorite work , apart from his , is a terrific book entitled " Ghosts in the Wilderness " by Tony and Eva Worobiec . It captures the remains of small , abandoned rural communities across the Midwest , much of it shot in black and white . I also have become a fan of photographer Jim McGuire . His black and white shots ( nashvilleportraits.com) are amazing . Thank you for your comments and have a GREAT day !
