I almost expect a twister to come barreling though, and Dorothy's house to go spinning off into the sky!

Tim, I need to congratulate you. I was raised in the panhandle...born in Dumas, lived in places that you show...and man, you take me back...in my mind there were many black and white days, and very few in living color...you make me remember home...

About docshovel39
docshovel39 Hello , my name is Tim . I live in the small farming community of Ropesville , Texas with my wife and photo partner Sherry . I got involved with photography because of my older brother Steve - a fantastic photographer who lives outside of Seattle , WA . My favorite work , apart from his , is a terrific book entitled " Ghosts in the Wilderness " by Tony and Eva Worobiec . It captures the remains of small , abandoned rural communities across the Midwest , much of it shot in black and white . I also have become a fan of photographer Jim McGuire . His black and white shots ( nashvilleportraits.com) are amazing . Thank you for your comments and have a GREAT day !
