Oh yes I will! I'll stay in the safety of my own home for now. What a vacation you and Durward are having, Leslie!

My son was brushed by some sea creature while swimming in the Atlantic off South Carolina when he was a teen; the scrapes puffed up and turned white, made him feel kind of punk for awhile. We didn't know until much later that the unseen creature he had encountered was most likely a stingray. I have a healthy respect for them now if I didn't before!

Yes, it was very neat. Hawaii has wildlife that is basically everywhere. Also, very slick rocks around the tide pools. You really have to be careful (thanks Durward for always having my arm and preventing me from falling, what a gentleman)!

Hello, my name is Leslie. I borrowed my handle from my Tennessee Walking horse, Dixie's Daughter. I am a retired respiratory therapist and home care director. My interests include photography, genealogy, historical societies, reenacting (Revolutionary War, WBTS) horse rescue, and paranormal investigating. I am also a big believer in karma and try to live my life accordingly. My husband (AUphoto) and I have two houses, one is a country house on a farm and the other is on the outskirts of Montgomery on Lake Cameron. I enjoy this site very much and love traveling around the World with you each day to amazing places. I appreciate you looking at my photographs and I appreciate you posting yours. Answer to most common question is I only shoot one lens for everything: Canon 18-200 mm. ©Leslie Kirk, 2014 with Southern Comfort Photography, ALL RIGHTS RESERVED, Pike Road, Alabama
