More rain expected this morning. 8" and counting. If you know me you know this is a pier with a rocking chair sitting on it. It hasn't stopped raining since Sunday afternoon. I can barely see the pier but have no idea where the rocking chair is....maybe at the bottom of the lake?

Seems like it's all or nothing, isn't it, Leslie? As for the rocking chair, if it's made of wood, maybe it floated away and will yet turn up again. And I'm sure you'll be happy to know, the forecast for Jekyll Island, Georgia, for the next few days is mostly sunny with highs in the 50's and 60's, no precip expected. See you there soon, my friend! Nice weather reporting here!

About dixiedaughter
dixiedaughter Hello, my name is Leslie. I borrowed my handle from my Tennessee Walking horse, Dixie's Daughter. I am a retired respiratory therapist and home care director. My interests include photography, genealogy, historical societies, reenacting (Revolutionary War, WBTS) horse rescue, and paranormal investigating. I am also a big believer in karma and try to live my life accordingly. My husband (AUphoto) and I have two houses, one is a country house on a farm and the other is on the outskirts of Montgomery on Lake Cameron. I enjoy this site very much and love traveling around the World with you each day to amazing places. I appreciate you looking at my photographs and I appreciate you posting yours. Answer to most common question is I only shoot one lens for everything: Canon 18-200 mm. ©Leslie Kirk, 2013 with Southern Comfort Photography, ALL RIGHTS RESERVED, Pike Road, Alabama
