Frozen Trees Bow Down

Uploaded by: deepwoods

Friday January 3, 2014

Penobscot, ME (Current Weather Conditions)

Caption: These trees are very tired from carrying the weight of so much ice and snow. Along the woods there are many seen bent over and touching the ground. With sub-zero temperatures today, and winds gusting to 35 mph here in Downeast Maine, I would not be surprised to see a lot of these beautiful trees snap and lie permanently on the ground.....firewood for next years' woodstove perhaps.

Like your composition here. Stunning subtle contrasts in light coming in and the shaded areas of tree. Creates a reverse silhouette, very pretty with the off color of light on ice and snow. Great pic

Enjoy taking photos in the area of Downeast Maine where I live near the shore with my husband and our dog, Drzl, who is one half greyhound and one half rhodesian ridgeback. I am not a professional, I just shoot what looks cool or interesting to me. Thanks for looking!
