Thanks everyone!! I appreciate ALL YOUR COMMENTS so very much. I'm in the process of trying to capture a beautiful bluejay with a broken wing, so I can take him to the Avian Haven for wild birds here in Maine (a fantastic place for all injured/abandoned wild birds.) I hope to place a photo of "Luke" the bluejay today so you can see him. He feeds and drinks water I put out, but he only hops and cannot fly. I hope and pray we can capture him with a towel. He hops very fast into a very dense path in the woods and disappears, so we're working on how to flush him out long enough to catch him and get him to the bird sanctuary. I'll keep you update. It's taking quite a bit of my time right now. :) Thanks again for commenting, and forgive me for not commenting as I know I should. I love all the photos here, as they are a big slice of heaven here on earth!!!! I'll try to do better! :) PattyG

About deepwoods

Enjoy taking photos in the area of Downeast Maine where I live near the shore with my husband and our dog, Drzl, who is one half greyhound and one half rhodesian ridgeback. I am not a professional, I just shoot what looks cool or interesting to me. Thanks for looking!
