Mosca, CO (Current Weather Conditions)

Caption: The Great Sand Dunes National Park is a wonderful place where the shifting sand meets the mountains. This photo was taken on Medano Creek 4WD road coming into the park from the north. It was a beautiful day to take the Medano Pass 4WD road from the Wet Valley to the Sand Dunes and we were rewarded with these almost other-worldly views at the Sand Dunes.

Very nice. I was curious as to how the dunes formed and found this very informative animation. http://www.nps.gov/grsa/naturescience/sanddunes.h tm
