Wow - OK, I stand corrected. Am not a weatherman here either. I will call this an iridescent cloud now. Thanks a bunch. Hmmmmmmmmmmm maybe it could an iridescent dawg cloud?? Not being from Georgia, I was trying to get that dawg into the title!!!!

Yeah, Helen you are right, this is a pretty iridescent cloud. In sundogs the red is always closest to the sun. :)

I'm no weather expert but I think this may be an iridescent cloud rather than a sundog. Here's a pic of iridescent clouds. Also called irisation. Nice capture of this pretty cloud...whatever it's called.
