I just looked up Pilgrim Goose, which is a domestic hybrid between a Chinese Swan Goose and the Domestic Goose which is descended from the Greylag Goose by way of the rare West of England strain. Nice shot and ID! Congrats on the AC...I like the perspective on this, especially with the lighting.

Thanks folks; it took me a while to figure out the name of this goose, or even if it was a goose. Hand held 300mm zoom lens; had to wait for him to hold his head up. I whistled real loud - then I got the shot. Thanks again.

If it isn't moving too fast, I may get a decent image from it. It is fun to experiment with a camera and the images; and to read all the tips and ideas everyone else has.Been in Gainesville, Florida for over 20 years now; and love the geography. But the mountains of the West will always attract me.
