Gainesville, FL (Current Weather Conditions)

Caption: Our Fire Dept conducted a controlled burn on the vacant house. Didn't take long before the only thing left were the bricks! The Firemen kept the trees and neighboring houses from being damaged.

Great shot- and good practice for the firefighters. It looks like a nice home..maybe it had mold issues.

Thanks again for the comments. This is a divided 4-lane road. Not any spectators around. Used a 50mm lens, no filters. Traffic was not stopped as cars came and went. The firemen did a good job.

Thanks folks!! Always keep your camera close by. I was driving by and saw the fire trucks, got out and shot the pics. Lots of water used to protect what they could. Don't know for sure about the trees until later. Thanks for the blue border.

Pretty dramatic, that! Hard to believe, though, that that tree wasn't damaged by the heat.

Update: Congratulations on your new AC, Farol!

If it isn't moving too fast, I may get a decent image from it. It is fun to experiment with a camera and the images; and to read all the tips and ideas everyone else has.Been in Gainesville, Florida for over 20 years now; and love the geography. But the mountains of the West will always attract me.
