Devil's Lake has quadrupled in size in the last ten years or so and you are right it is Spirit Lake called by the Sioux , I call it our inland ocean.

Yup! And it was the first time I had ever seen a wind generator, they had a HUGE one that powered the Casino and Hotel. (I live in the sticks...)

I would have loved to hang around the lake more, it is so very interesting. Called 'Spirit Lake' by the First Nations, (Sioux?) right?

What a gorgeous sunset!

Devil's Lake, I've been there! We went there to a Nitty Gritty Dirt Band concert a few years back.

This is a strange, unique place Brian, thanks for posting!

About bbend

From the small town of Martin, which is located in central North Dakota. I keep busy with commercial painting, grow small fruits and vegetables for sale, am the city assessor for Martin and I'm the new American Family Insurance agent in Harvey. Lots of stuff to learn in my new endeavor! One of my hobbies is taking pictures, which hopefully will dispel some misguided ideas that ND is a boring, flat, and always cold and snowy state!
