Martin, ND (Current Weather Conditions)

Caption: Beautiful morning with light winds but that cloud bank in the west moved quickly acrossed us. The wind went from 5 mph to gusting to more than 40 mph in a matter of minutes. We had our first thundershower of the season overnight so it seem like summer may be here!

That wind sure made the surface of the water
pretty, Brian! Personally, I prefer a gentle
breeze! Beautiful colors, wonderful shot!
Congratulations on your AC!

I agree with Reno. That wicked wind means a messy yard, which in turn means work. And all that cleanup effort can be undone in mere seconds by a few heavy gusts. Only thing worse is drought--and we get a lot of both here in east central Georgia. Brilliant blues in your image.

Of all the weather conditions - I dislike the wind the most, and we seem to have a lot of it here by the mountains. Nice capture Brian.

Thanks Eileen! After that moved through, I'm sure the water was really moving!
Looks like I have a couple of mistakes in my wording above- should be across- without the ed, and missed the s on seems. That's what happens when it gets done in a hurry!

About bbend

From the small town of Martin, which is located in central North Dakota. I keep busy with commercial painting, grow small fruits and vegetables for sale, am the city assessor for Martin and I'm the new American Family Insurance agent in Harvey. Lots of stuff to learn in my new endeavor! One of my hobbies is taking pictures, which hopefully will dispel some misguided ideas that ND is a boring, flat, and always cold and snowy state!
