Anamoose, ND (Current Weather Conditions)

Caption: We went from winter to summer in a week! Almost all of our lakes were finally ice free on Friday. Today it was 88 and some areas were above 90. I'll try to send some of this up to Alaska and over to WI and MI! Forecast shows 70's for the rest of the week but very windy tomorrow.

Thanks Eileen! You are right about the controlled burn- the farmers are trying to find times when they can burn the old CRP grasses off so they can plant them. I'm happy to be able to have reflections rather than ice- even the smoke is reflected!

This is fantastic! Love the smoke from the controlled burns. (guessing that's what that is)
(And, I can hardly believe I'm the first to comment!)

About bbend

From the small town of Martin, which is located in central North Dakota. I keep busy with commercial painting, grow small fruits and vegetables for sale, am the city assessor for Martin and I'm the new American Family Insurance agent in Harvey. Lots of stuff to learn in my new endeavor! One of my hobbies is taking pictures, which hopefully will dispel some misguided ideas that ND is a boring, flat, and always cold and snowy state!
