Hermiston, OR (Current Weather Conditions)

Caption: My wife encountered these while watering her tomatoes yesterday. This branch is hanging over her tomato plants. She heard buzzing, looked up and there they were! There are so many that they've bent this locust branch in half. They are still here today. If they don't leave soon I'll call a beekeeper. Maybe they'll want them.

That's quite a photo! I love the close up and the way it looks from a distance too. I'd like to see this hanging on the wall. (Too bad they sting, huh?)

About backwardguy

backwardguy

My wife of 40 years and I live in Hermiston OR. on a 5 acre "farmette". I have been an elementary school teacher for the last 26 years. I enjoy the outdoors and animals and I'm an avid (not a good) golfer. My wife and I take our motorcycles on long trips and our destinations are almost always the beautiful National parks in Oregon, California, Montana, Idaho, Wyoming, Washington, Utah, and last summer we added Arizona to the list. Photography has long been an interest of mine and many of my photos are taken on our little farmette, and on our motorcycle trips.
