Hermiston, OR (Current Weather Conditions)

Caption: These guys were very skittish and stayed close to shore under the overhanging branches. They flew off several times before I was finally able to catch them. I watched the females jumping from the water in to the low branches. I think they were eating the Russian olives. This was shot with zoom set at 155X.

About backwardguy

backwardguy

My wife of 41 years and I live in Hermiston OR. on a 5 acre "farmette". I have been an elementary school teacher for the last 29years. I enjoy the outdoors and animals and I'm an avid (not a good) golfer. My wife and I take our motorcycles on long trips and our destinations are almost always the beautiful National parks in Oregon, California, Montana, Idaho, Wyoming, Washington, Utah, and last summer we added Arizona to the list. Photography has long been an interest of mine and many of my photos are taken on our little farmette, and on our motorcycle trips.
