Thanks for the ID, Steve! Hope those coons remain good neighbors... the ones we have here never give us anything but trouble.

Yes! It is a raccoon. We've been allowing her and her 3 babies to live in a hole in a big cottonwood on our property. So far they've been good neighbors. They come up on the porch while we're sitting on it in the evening and clean up the cat food.

Not a feline or canine. Could possibly be a coon... You gonna tell us?

About backwardguy

My wife of 41 years and I live in Hermiston OR. on a 5 acre "farmette". I was an elementary school teacher for 29years. I retired at the end of June 2015 and have been working hard ever since!. I enjoy the outdoors and animals and I'm an avid (not a good) golfer. My wife and I take our motorcycles on long trips and our destinations are almost always the beautiful National parks in Oregon, California, Montana, Idaho, Wyoming, Washington, Utah, and last summer we added Arizona to the list. Photography has long been an interest of mine and many of my photos are taken on our little farmette, and on our motorcycle trips.
