Great series. I envy you getting such good shots. The ones around here keep their distance too far even for the telephoto. Congratts and 10 from SW Iowa

Thank you everyone for the visit and the kind comments. Trudy, he was about 25-30 feet up in an old cottonwood tree. I had the camera on a tripod and set for maximum zoom, set to take 3 shots in quick succession after a 10 second delay.

Thank you Approvers for the blue border and for all you do!

About backwardguy

backwardguy

My wife of 40 years and I live in Hermiston OR. on a 5 acre "farmette". I have been an elementary school teacher for the last 26 years. I enjoy the outdoors and animals and I'm an avid (not a good) golfer. My wife and I take our motorcycles on long trips and our destinations are almost always the beautiful National parks in Oregon, California, Montana, Idaho, Wyoming, Washington, Utah, and last summer we added Arizona to the list. Photography has long been an interest of mine and many of my photos are taken on our little farmette, and on our motorcycle trips.
