Thanks everyone for your lovely comments.
I had no idea that Woody was so uncommon.
All I saw was the flash of red as he dug at the log.
I think if I knew he was uncommon, especially for this area, I might not have been as steady or as bold as I was approaching him.
I will look for him today, I need to dry more laundry.

This must have been one of your more exciting series to shoot, edit, and post. I know I would have been jumping up and down with excitement and couldn't have managed a single clear photo. Congrats on an excellent series.
