Waupun, WI (Current Weather Conditions)

Caption: I'm fairly sure I'm the last birder in WI to see a Snowy Owl this season! I got a tip from a fellow birder where this sweetie was so I took a drive to find her. I thought b&w suited this shot better than color.

Of course I have more shots, but these two are the better ones...I hate posting pix that aren't up to snuff...and even this one ain't that great.

Actually, these birds are very often found just sitting in farm fields, where they hunt for mice...it's neat to scan the distant fields and see a white lump protruding from the landscape...and it turns out to be an owl and not a mound of snow!
