Solargraphy- One Month

Bridgwater, Somerset, United Kingdom

Caption: The can was put up in our back garden Halloween night, compare it to the No Sun Solargraphy titled upload & you can see the fotospeed paper has more detail. The Ilford paper in this can was quite damp when i took the lid off, the 1st time that has happend to me. But it was nothing a few hours in a light tight box on a warm radiator & some silica gel couldn't fix!

Hopefully i'll be picking one up tomorrow after a months exposure, another around mid-week the rest at the weekend. Already made some more ( with new paper) to put up at the end of the week.

I think for me this year the shortest day won't be long enough, i need to pick up the rest of the pinhole cameras then.

Soon it will be the longest day & time to take down the cans (there are 2 or 3) from June, a few from September & a few more short (1 month or 3 week) exposures. They are spread around a bit so it could take a couple days to get them all.

Dave you are unique! You do some of the most interesting things! Glad the damp didn't destroy the image, keep up the inspirational work!

Oh, congratulations on this truly unique (there's that word again) image!

About WurzelDave

WurzelDave

I'm a 'wurzel' who lives in South West England (UK) in the county of Somerset (next to Devon), famous for scrumpy cider, Cheddar cheese, The Wurzels (well worth going to see) & birth county of 2009 F1 world champion Jenson Button.Like the rest of the West Country, Somerset has many areas, places & landscapes worth a visit such as Glastonbury Tor & Abbey ruins, Quantock hills, West Somerset Railway, Cheddar Gorge, & Exmoor, to name but a very few.Favourite holiday destiations are Iceland (see alot of photos) & the Icehotel in Jukkasjarvi Sweden (also see photos). Still a lover of the flim camera, my first camera was an Halina 110 camera which you could buy flip flashes for! I have a Canon 3000V SLR film camera, also have some TLR cameras from the 1950's plus Canon powershot A3300 & SX150 digital cameras which are useful for close up macro shots & also makes film 'last' longer!
