Think the pass is being dug out today. Fifteen miles east there was virtually no snow - twenty miles west, and at sea level, vehicles were buried in drifts to fifteen or twenty feet. Wild weekend here in Cumbria...

The photo was taken on the Kirkstone Pass, just off the actual road. I was looking North, Brotherswater is visible in the distance and Ullswater further north but out of sight. The pass was quite clear yesterday, I guess it is not quite as good tonight after all the snow today.

Wilson - exactly where were you in Cumbria and in which direction were you looking when you took this stunning photo?

Getting down is easy... so long as you don't care what you hit. Easy does it; take care!

I love Spring in Cumbria. Brave of you to drive in the snow in those roads. Yes, I like the photo too.
