January Thaw, Nice Walk!

Uploaded by: WigglesMom

Thursday January 10, 2013

London, OH (Current Weather Conditions)

Caption: Good Boy is an Australian Cattle Dog aka ACD aka blue heeler. We got together in early March 2011. Good Boy's previous life is unknown, but he was found as a stray in late February 2011 standing between a busy highway & a flooding river near Frankfort, Kentucky. Good Boy 'sees with his heart' & trusts me to be his 'seeing eye person' -- a bit of role reversal that allows him to fully enjoy his remaining senses! We got in a wonderful afternoon walk on this day when the grass reappeared after having been under snow & ice since December 26, 2012.

Snosno, God & my beloved Wiggles Blue Heeler saved BOTH me & Good Boy: Thank you for your blessing, but truly, I have been blessed by God & Wiggles, as has Good Boy. I was a heartbroken person, having helped my sweet Wiggles Blue Heeler return to Heaven after 12 wonderful years together, just short of three months earlier. I believe God & Wiggles got together & saved two lives by putting Good Boy & I on the same path. He, being blind, may have been dumped, or he may have been feral, but he had clearly never been in a house, eaten food for which he didn't have to forage, drank water that was fresh & cool, or slept in a clean, warm, soft doggie bed of his choosing (he has two in the living room & one under my desk in the office). We both needed each other so much! Much more here (photos, too, of Good Boy, Wiggles Blue Heeler, and yours truly): http://wigglesblueheeler.blogspot.com

Thank you, Actual! Good Boy is, of course, not Wiggles Blue Heeler, but I can see Wiggles' profound influence in him, steadying him, letting him know that this person who plucked him out of the shelter & hauled him 200 miles north, only wants the best for him.

About WigglesMom

WigglesMom

Born & raised in SW Ohio; have lived in west-central Ohio's Amish & Mennonite wonderful farm country for 27 years. Drove semi trucks for 27 years & have been a property rights / natural resources researcher since 1999. Had *Raffles/Skowronek Arabian horses for 34 years. Enjoyed beyond words the 12+ years that Wiggles Blue Heeler (Aust. cattle dog) graced my life; thankful to God & Wiggles for orchestrating the miracles that led to my rescuing "Good Boy," another blue heeler (pictured) in early March 2011. The greatest blessing in life is getting to live it! I've always loved to take pictures & seem to have a natural eye for it. Thanks to Weather Underground for this chance to display some of my photos!
