I think we have a couple of men here who are pretty 'in touch', have something to say and can convey their thoughts so eloquently. Thanks for a beautiful photo and thank you and gusbuster for the lovely insight. It's a pleasure to read.

Poets don't so much write as provide a vehicle by which the poem finds expression. Art passes through the artist rather than from. As art, in photography this is the difference between snapshots and making images.
In reading Gus' kind expression, I agree with you, Laura.

Thank you all for your comments!

Beautiful openness. Reminds me of someones eyes. Beautiful to behold, but prettier when you look deeper, and truly see all that is behind. Steadfastness and strength lay softly below the surface, the pulse felt as you reach out and touch and behold the life within. Great composition and capture. Full of life

*** I'm a former approver and have not been posting for almost a year. I'll pop in and out periodically. Drop a note if you like ... maybe my past contacts are still around. My website is back! New host, new format, new items. Thanks for your many visits and comments!I haven't lived in Alaska all my life yet, but I'm working on it. I grew up on the Kenai Peninsula and have lived in the Anchorage area for the last 30 years. I'm happily married to a woman who is a much better photographer than I am! We travel around Alaska and elsewhere frequently. We have three daughters: all beautiful and intelligent! My brother is Travel Hal, also an excellent Photographer and one of the finest men I know. Like most people, I'll post images I like here but obviously not everyone likes the ones I do. So, after awhile I'll take the "stale" ones down and put new images up. I'm always receptive to thoughts, feedback and comments. Just saying "Hi" for no particular reason is fine, too. We Alaskans are a sociable bunch. My home page link is posted below under "photographer's web site", just click and go. If you check it out, have the courtesy of leaving a note. I usually answer if you leave your email address. Thanks for stopping by! Whoodat.Create your own visitor map
