Wonderful close up Shirley! Its white tummy is so adorable! And I love the stripe in the middle of their backs! Great capture -- they run so fast, I've never captured one yet!!

Thanks! They are so small that they often are right under my nose and don't see them. This from a distance looked like a small bird but then once it spotted me, it froze and looked like a stubble in the shade. However, I held on to that spot and discovered it was a chipmunk! A lot of hidden nature - there is at least one in my neighborhood that I see perhaps about once a year.

Don't get to see the Chipmunks anymore. We used to see tons of them
when we lived in Klamath Falls. It was such a treat to go to the woods
and watch them chase each other.
