Danville, VA (Current Weather Conditions)

Caption: Right at dusk, saw the deer run across street into the woods. As I got a little closer they had reappeared and were grazing next to woods by the little church. Was a fun op - kept shooting until too dark to get a shot. I hated to leave them.

Thank you! They are just amazing! The moment it turns dark - they become fearless and move about as if they are invisible and actually they are invisible almost like ghost moving about. I think when one started across the street there was a steady trail one crossing at at time - at least 10 crossed over and started feeding in a yard across the street. Perhaps the attraction was acorns - not sure but they were loving it.

Wow, Shirley, this little herd seems to have become your friends! What a lovely relationship to have with these delicate, and shy creatures. Beautiful image!
