Caption: Dogwoods in Bloom? Fall?Dogwood tree in bloom in Tennessee and here it is the end of fall almost. I could not believe my eyes this morning. I have a better shot of the blossom but chose this photo so you could see the berries and buds as evidence that it is truly a dogwood tree.

Thanks - is very strange as Dogwoods should not be blooming in Oct and Nov....they bloom in early spring. Not sure what this will mean for this tree as to next spring's flowers or next fall's berries.

Shirley, very pretty! Of course I can tell it's fall by the color or the leaves. So nice that you caught the blossoms and shared them with us all! Joan

They are not opening as normal but more like sweet pea Like blossoms. I will look for them tomorrow to see if they openon up normally if the weather holds up. It was a fairly hard freeze here Friday just as we did in Virginia. Perhaps being so close the house protected them.
