Oooh....I did not know they were two different things....I don't know...I got a slew of shots but they were all from condo window...had to stand up on a stool to reach top of window to avoid screen. My other view of it was from a screened porch so screen again. I will check for feet.

Did you see its feet?
If it has black feet, it's a Great Egret.
If it has yellow feet, it's a Snowy Egret.
