Tiger in the Grass

Danville, VA (Current Weather Conditions)

Caption: It never ceases to amaze me to find that often the tiger swallowtails prefer the dew on the grass or the leaves on trees or even just plain old dirt to all the beautiful flowers. That was the case with this one fluttering about landing on trees and blades of grass near the woods on my am walk.

Thank you! I was surprised to see it land
in grass instead of flowers. First it was
on a tree over in woods.
