Camp Verde, AZ (Current Weather Conditions)

Caption: A westbound train near Seligman, Arizona. Elevation here is well over 5000 feet. When the train crosses the Colorado, it'll be only 500 feet above sea level. Then it has to climb back up to over 4000 feet to cross the Tehachapis (if it's headed that way). Note the extra locomotives.

About Tsurai

Tsurai

I'm fortunate enough to live 'way up on the northwestern coast of northern California, an area sometimes referred to as The Humboldt Nation, or the land behind the redwood curtain. Work takes me on the road six months a year, but the rest of the time is mine to surf, kayak, fish, watch birds, and of course take photographs of this remarkable region.
