Caption: This guy swerved to miss a Deer and totaled his truck when he hit several trees in this picture. A few weeks ago I came to a complete stop, but the motion of my vehicle stopping and a Deer ran in front and stopped and this caused $3000.00 damage when the forward motion hit the deer, that was able to run away. A highway near here 8 deer hit in one day...BEWARE OF DEER.

I can sympathize with all of you that have had the deer strikes - my car was struck by a deer on a Sunday afternoon on a major road and a residential area. I had just gotten my car back from the shop due to a tree falling on it during an ice storm. A 7K repair from the ice storm and 6K repair from the deer - geez! I too hope the # of tags is increased.

The driver and the deer are ok, though the driver is still a bit shook up, that tree he hit kept his truck from going over the edge of a very steep hill.

I totally agree. My husband's pickup was also almost totaled by a deer that leaped out into the road and hit HIM. (The deer somehow ran off again.) Here in NC there are very few natural predators; the only population control for deer is hunters or vehicle strikes. Which would people prefer?

Dang deer is what keeps damaging my Chevy. As I also live in the Rogers AR area, I suspect and hope the local Game & Fish people will up the number of tags issued this year. The Deer population is in serious need of heavy thinning.
