Wow what a shot. Albeit a scary one though. I hope and pray no people or homes are in the way and I pray the fire fighters can get this under control. Stay safe and excellent shot and VIP. Congrats!

Your colors really stand out. Such an odd combo, too, with orange-hot flames licking at lush, green grass. The glimpses of blue sky behind that smoke top it off. Fine work.

I agree Feather3! It is amazing how the green, wet grasses in a soggy marsh burns. I was only a few hundred yards away and I could hear the sizzling sounds. The fire was so intense that it seemed to be boiling the water away...

Seems like such a dichotomy! Fire and water... with the grass so green, it's hard to imagine a *fire* there. Makes me think of Swamp Gas from The Princess Bride ;)

Perfect capture; and I know a shot like than can be tricky to get right. Nicely done!

So vivid! You captured this so well. Sure hope that marsh is still damp enough to quench the fire quickly!
