Thunder Bay, Canada

Caption: Lake Superior is actually warmer than the air above the Thunder Bay harbour! Sea-smoke circles this harbour lighthouse.... desperately needed as the open water is hidden. Its -25C (-13F) ...but with wind it feels like -35C (-31F).

I understand about the numbers meaning nothing anymore...numb and feels like you are living inside of a freezer. ;)

Thanks everyone for your comments .. and thanks WU for the VIP ... the cold weather continues. Today is "warmer" ... -20C (-4F) but with the windchill it feels like -30C (-22F). Somewhere along the way the numbers become meaningless and we just feel numb! :) Stay warm, Wundergrounders!

I see you are getting it too, and I am hoping this is not a precursor to the rest of the "winter"

Well done, Bev! Love the sea smoke, and agree, it can be dangerous.

About ThunderBev

ThunderBev

I have lived in Northwestern Ontario all my life, and think I am very lucky! In addition to fresh air and changing seasons, there is the opportunity to attempt to catch the beautiful scenery on camera. I say 'attempt', because a picture is not worth a thousand words... the reality can take your breath away. I have always been a shutterbug, however owning a digital camera and discovering Wunderground has motivated me even more. Create your own visitor map!
