Thunder Bay, Canada

Caption: Ahh, waterfront property ... except this is normally lawn! I'm sure these people in rural Thunder Bay woke to a surprise this morning! A pre-dawn storm dropped 100 mm (4 in) of rain and left our city in a state of emergency.

Wow! So sorry to hear about the damage caused by all the rain. Hoping things dry out quickly for everyone in Northwestern Ontario. This is a great series of flood pictures from your area. Thanks for sharing and hoping the sun stays out for you!

Thanks ... I'm looking at more rain clouds this very minute! Our city has had 3x the normal rainfall for the month - most of it in the last week. We just need some sunny weather to dry us out!

About ThunderBev

ThunderBev

I have lived in Northwestern Ontario all my life, and think I am very lucky! In addition to fresh air and changing seasons, there is the opportunity to attempt to catch the beautiful scenery on camera. I say 'attempt', because a picture is not worth a thousand words... the reality can take your breath away. I have always been a shutterbug, however owning a digital camera and discovering Wunderground has motivated me even more. Create your own visitor map!
