Such devastation! The loss of habitat must have seriously impacted so many species....how deep is this lake usually?

Great capture and so sad but great they could relocate the fish to the other end of the lake. Is this White Oak Lake? I just looked up your area and saw where there is a problem with the dam and will be 2014 before repaired. I thought that seems like a long time. Hope they get it fixed sooner. Congrats on the VIP!

It's a manmade lake, so for those interested, there'd be no water there in the first place to have been drained had men not made the lake in the first place. Gripping, very interesting photo, to be sure! Men can and do "create habitat," but since everywhere is habitat for something, it's good to keep in mind that man's efforts often help, not hinder, this world and its inhabitats, be they human, flora or fauna.
