WoW Sharon! I've been whale watching before but this takes the cake! Never been THAT close before!

My dolphin shots this week were not even that close....

Congratulations on your AC and a "10 Fave" from me!

Thanks everyone! Please read below and help protect these amazing giants of the oceans!

The Diablo Canyon Nuclear Plant sits on an earthquake fault and is a threat to all of us. Some genius proposed taking a better look at these faults using seismic testing, where the ocean will be sound-bombed with 260 db sonic blasts every 13 seconds for about a month- and then again next year! This is so loud it is tissue bruising and will definitely kill our whales and Harbor Porpoises and otters and...well...you get the picture!

Enter, an army of activists- US!

Our position is that SEISMIC TESTING is a threat not only to whales, but to all of us, because it allows Pacific Gas and Electric to delay removal of the nuclear plant from the earthquake fault!

But in a modern day miracle, the whales have heard us! They know we are helping and they have shown up at our shore in such record number that it is world news. But the press has not cooperated. They work for the blasters, apparently and although the whales are in the media, the seismic threat they face is not.

So we did a fantastic counter attack by posting about it on every comment section we could find online! Youtube videos of these whales all have our stamp in the comments! So do news articles on the whales. WE ARE EVERYWHERE! KEEP IT UP!

The whales will not be ignored and neither will we!

OK here's today's mission- Send an e mail to the Fish & Game Commission at

fgc@fgc.ca.gov or call them up at: 916 653-4899

and tell them:

There are simply too many whales around for this seismic testing, and we expect the Commission to enforce the Point Buchon State Marine Reserve!

Address it to Sonke Mastrup, Executive Director

Thanks! And don't forget to make plans for Saturday September 1st, 10AM at Port San Luis Pier when we will show support for the whales, thanking them for their show of force to help stop the seismic testing! AND BRING A SIGN THAT SAYS:

THANK YOU WHALES!

In solidarity,

STOP THE DIABLO CANYON SEISMIC TESTING
