Greenview, CA (Current Weather Conditions)

Caption: Kickback from the Whites fire and looming thunderhead threats created an awesome sight on the Kidder Creek drainage. This is all part oaf the complex called the July complex - which I have to admit I am not happy to be part of. The people in the Whites' fire area went from advisory to mandatory evacuation and my heart goes out to them. It also took away most of the air strike we had yesterday - and understandably so. Thanks to all of your emails asking after us. We are still 'good'.

Evenings have been so dramatic looking around here lately. I kind of clears off so you don't have the heavy fog look you have going on for most of the day.

They are back to hitting it hard with fir retardant from the smaller bombers today - the space they are working in is difficult and dangerous,

Thank Gil and Julia. I am sure the wind shift from the south yesterday is to blame for you getting to share in our wonderful air quality down here, Julia. More chances for thunderstorms coming up, so probably not much relief from the smoke in sight for you either. When it changes that direction we just get the smoke from the Whites fire instead of ours.

I hope you and yours are still safe. The smoke has indundated the Rogue Valley. It was
quite thick yesterday afternoon. There is no sunrise this morning as the smoke is hanging
all around the mountains.

Keep safe and keep us posted....can't get anything on the radio.

Congratulations on the AC!
