I did find that I didn't snap as many photos inside - I too felt like an intruder into someone's personal space.

I hope the person who inscribed his initials and the Christmas date found something better during his life too, Peter. thanks for sharing the story.

This is a terrific series, have wandered around several old places here and always feel like an intruder, its the little things that people left around that I love to see. Also scribbled notes here and there, one place I still go to can best be described as a hovel, above what was the bed three initials and Christmas 1932. Maybe the only thing that differentiated that day from any other for the soul who slept with the horse, hope his life got better.

Thanks Julia. The house doesn't have a 'haunted' feel to it at all. Even though it has been neglected, and stuff is piled everywhere, it really feels like some one will be right back. Shirts on the backs of chairs, shoes by doors, stuff in the kitchen. The uncle lived in the bottom couple of rooms until he passed away.

When I entered one of the main front rooms I just knew this was the room families had enjoyed Christmas and other holidays there. It was a house that had known love.

What a fantastic old house, I hope they don't let it go completely to ruin. There is a lot of money in salvaging all the goodies in there.
